A 2½ acre water with 2 islands has 40 well spaced pegs which are at least 36 feet apart. Stocked with mirrors going to 22lb and commons upto 15lb but also an abundance of smaller fish ranging from 2lb right up to 14lb. Most methods work well with popular baits being pellets, luncheon meat, Chopped worm and casters and not forgetting the method. Top pellets seem to be scopex and strawberry fished over a bed of 2mm feed pellets Groundbait can only be used in feeders whilst nuts and boilies are not allowed.
Keepnets are NOT allowed and there is a two rod limit.

Purposely developed match water spanning 3½ acres and consisting of 60 pegs. It has 3 islands with a gradually sloping bottom rising to the islands.A variety of species include carp to 8lbs,a good mix of crucians, tench to 2lbs,bream to 5lbs,roach to 1½lb and rudd. Most favoured baits seem to be meat, pellets, chopped worm with sweetcorn, maggots and casters. As with Mallard, best approach seems to be to fish over a bed of 2mm pellets and to feed little and often to attract the fish into the swim and then keep them there.
Again groundbait should only be used in conjunction with a cage or Method feeder. |
