Controlled by Havering Angling and situated in Hornchurch Country Park

Covering about 2½ acres with two small islands at each end of the lake and other features such as overhanging trees and bushes.
There are a total of 37 swims which include 2 especially designated for disabled anglers (booked in advance).

There are a large head of carp to 20lb+ and also 2 known 30's and the most popular spots seem to be the island margins but the open water also produces with pva.
Popular baits are said to be Mainline baits,Assassin 8 and Grange & Plum in 15mm being particular favourites.
Other species include a large head of Pike, Perch to speciman size and Tench to 8lb.

Gates open 6.30am to 8.30pm during the summer months,reduced winter hours, in the winter the hours check with the bailiff beforehand

Tickets will not be issued without a current Rod Licence being shown to the bailiff
A max. of TWO rods only.
A marker float is counted as a 3rd rod and must be retrieved and broken down into 2 on the bank.
All fishing MUST cease 30 mins before fishery closure.
Night fishing strictly forbidden.
Anyone found doing so will be liable to prosecution
No barbed hooks, braided mainline, carp sacks.
No litter of any kind including cigarette ends and tin cans of any kind.
Unhooking matts compulsory
The use of boats, including bait boats are banned.
No unattended rods, this is a crimal offence.
The cutting back of any vegetation is strictly prohibited.
Unhookin mats are compulsory, keepnets at the discretion of the bailiff.
Groundbait to be used in moderation, NO nuts or particles, NO spodding
No person of school age will be allowed to fish during school hours without written permission from their head teacher.
All persons of the age of 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Junction 29 of the M25, follow signs to Hornchurch.
Follow Southend Road, then Mungo Park Road.
Albyn's farm is 100 yards on the right opposite Albyn's School.
Car park is situated on the right, with a short walk to the lake.

There are two main entrances to the park:
"Squadron's Approach" which is sign posted off Suttons Lane / Airfield Way.
The other entrance is via South End Road and leads to the Park Office at Albyns Farm.

Public transport
The District Line provides frequent services to Hornchurch Station which is ¾ of a mile from the Squadron's Approach entrance to the park.

Bus routes 165 / 365 stop near the South End Road entrance.
The 252 bus stops close to the Squadron's Approach entrance and the 256 stops just past St George's Hospital which is a short walk to the Squadron's Approach entrance
