Brooklands Lakes

A 17 acre gravel pit complex controlled by Dartford & District Angling & Preservation Society ( DDAPS ).

The complex is divided into two areas of water by means of an underwater screen under the centre path bridge.

Baldwins Lake :

The smallest area of water with 30 pegs, adjacent to the River Darent.
It is popular with clubs for matches and pleasure anglers.
Over recent years a heavy re-stocking programme with Carp to over 20lbs, Bream to over 7lbs, Tench, Roach and Perch has taken place.
In addition to these species are Pike and Eels.
Match and pleasure catches to over 80lb in the summer, falling mainly to groundbait feeder tactics or sometimes the pole.
There is a two rod limit on this lake.
Barbless hooks are recommended but are not compulsory.

A2 Lake :

This is the largest area and is stocked with the biggest fish.
The Carp go over 30lb, Pike over 20lb, Tench over 7lb, Bream over 7lb, Perch to 3lb 12oz.
In matches big bags of Bream are reasonably common place and on a good day pleasure bags over 100lbs are possible to groundbait feeder tactics.
Boilies and dog biscuit floaters work well for the Carp.

Rules :

Juniors (Under 16 years of age) have a flat rate ticket but can not fish at night, even if accompanied by an adult.
Day tickets are available from the bailiff on the bank and the water is open all year round.
Keep nets, carp sacks and peanuts are not permitted.
