Springwood Fisheries

A new fishing experience that is situated on the edge of the National Forest.

Two uniquely designed naturally spring-fed fishing lakes which have been well stocked to provide excellent angling for all. Springwater have introduced many fish into their waters such as Common Carp, Mirror Carp, Ghost Carp and other species such as Tench, Perch, Golden Orfe, Rudd, Golden Rudd, Roach and skimmer Bream. For the winter periods there are also barbel, ide and chub. The top lake, which has 24 pegs is the shallower of the two with a maximum depth down the middle of 4 feet. Bottom Lake has 30-peg with depths down to 6ft and is the better of the two in the cooler months. Both are designed so that they slope away rather than exhibit obvious ledges. On-site facilities include safe and secure parking, a Clubhouse, toilets, NFA coaching by appointment for help and advice for those new to the sport. Equipment is also available to hire out for beginners, or for those just looking for a different day out. Young and disabled anglers are also catered. Springwood is also a "Caravan Club" Listed site, with electricity, water and chemical disposal point.
