A family run day ticket water, situated in the picturesque location of the South Cotswolds, close to Swindon and the M4

Noted as one of the top day ticket fisheries in the country, the lakes were dug in the 1950's and have matured beautifully into the mature fishery we see today.
This venue offers Carp fishing at its best with large Mirror, Linear, Common and leather Carp plus other species that include, Tench, Perch, Roach, Pike and a few Bream.
Facilities include, on site a secure lit car park, toilets, shower and water and "The Tackle Shed",an on site shop very well stocked with a huge range of terminal and larger items of tackle & baits.

Day Ticket Lake :

Beautifully landscaped with trees and shrubs, this lake is around 4 acres in size and comprises of 3 areas of water linked by 2 channels.
The depths vary from 3 feet to 8 feet and has a wealth of features that include, reed beds and lily pads plus 2 islands.
The 45 swims have ample room to accommodate a Bivvy with ease, some being double swims.
Carp vary in size from 12lb up to 28lb specimens, with at least 45 20 pounders, the average size being 18lb.
Fish are caught here nearly every day of the year with most anglers having multiple catches.
There are also pike weighing in at up to low 20lb's, perch to 3lb 8oz, roach to 2lb 9oz, specimen tench to 12lb and a few bream.

Syndicate Lake :

3 acre pretty lake with depths to 12 feet, numerous features and an island.
120 approx CARP up to 34lb with 3 known 30's 65 known 20's.
Open only to 30 members per year, no day tickets

No damage to trees or bankside vegetation

Directions :

Whelford Pools is situated just off the A417 between Lechlade and Fairford.
From the M4 junction 15 take the A419 Cirencester Road, then the A361 to Lechlade.
Turn left here on to the A417 towards Fairford, Left at the shell garage, Whelford Pools is 1/4 mile on the right handside.
From Cirencester, take the A417 through Fairford, then after 1 mile turn right at the shell garage, Whelford Pools is ½ mile on the right hand side.
